Due to the recovering economy and budget increases, online ad spending is steadily rising with growth expected to continue through 2015. According to eMarketer, US online ad spending is expected to reach $31.3 billion this year, which would mean a 20.2% increase from last year. Marketers predict online ad spending to reach $50 billion by 2015. Additional ad formats including video ads, banner ads, search marketing and email marketing, as well as additional channels including social media and the ability to access everything on mobile devices, are major contributors to the influx of dollars spent on online marketing.
